1. Mechanical springs

First of all, mechanical springs are often cheaper, but they also have many disadvantages.

Noisy: When the user wants to move the monitor stand to a comfortable position, the mechanical spring may make noise when used. Dull

Stiff: Mechanical springs are easier to connect, but mechanical springs are serrated and relatively stiff during movement.

Recoil: It is the force of the spring on the pressure source, that is, the resistance encountered by the user when operating the monitor. The mechanical spring recoils faster and more forcefully, which sometimes causes the user to collide with the body due to the recoil force when using it.

2. Gas springs

Gas springs are compared with mechanical springs because they do not require more seals and independent parts to work, have fewer parts, and are easy to install and use. The price of gas springs is often higher, but they can provide a better user experience than mechanical springs.

Low loss: Gas springs obtain elastic force from compressed gas, and the wear is almost zero, and the service life of qualified products can be nearly nine times higher than that of traditional springs.

Quiet: When users place, rotate, and stretch the display, they are much quieter than mechanical springs, and there will be no noisy sounds that affect other people's work or family rest.

Smooth: Compared with mechanical springs, gas springs provide smoother movement and connection, and there is basically no stumbling and resistance during use.

Weak recoil: Compared with mechanical springs, gas springs have slower recoil speed, weaker power and are easier to control, making them more suitable for products with small adjustment such as monitors and lifting platforms. It does not require any external structure to stop at any position in the travel, and there is no additional locking force, so the wax can be freely suspended.
